Course Content

This course provides a clear introduction to dermal filler treatments, exploring how they work, when they are indicated and the benefits they offer within aesthetic practice. Learners will develop a strong understanding of facial anatomy and tissue structure, with particular focus on the areas involved in treating the mid and lower face.

Practical training focuses on the assessment and treatment of key mid and lower face areas, including lips, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. You will be guided through treatment planning and technique selection to support safe, balanced and natural-looking results.

The course also covers injection technique in detail, including product placement, depth and dosing considerations. Safety, infection control and professional standards are embedded throughout, alongside guidance on recognising, preventing and responding to potential complications.

Assessment and Certification

Learners are assessed through practical demonstration and knowledge-based evaluation to ensure competence and safe practice. Upon successful completion, students will receive an IPHM-accredited certificate in Basic Dermal Filler Training.

Who This Course Is For

This course is suitable for practitioners seeking an introduction to dermal fillers or looking to build a foundational understanding before progressing to advanced techniques. Learners must meet entry requirements and be committed to practising within professional, insurance and regulatory guidelines.

Entry Requirements

To enrol on this course, learners must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy

  • Hold a Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology qualification, supported by a minimum of six months’ needling experience (such as microneedling, microblading or SPMU)

  • Hold a Level 2 Beauty qualification, alongside Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology and at least three months’ needling experience

  • Have a minimum of twelve months’ practical needling experience (including microneedling, microblading or SPMU)

  • Be a registered medical professional (such as a nurse, dental nurse, GP or paramedic) with a current NHS PIN
